Aliens: Fireteam Elite - Hive Environments

I had the pleasure of creating a number of the Hive environments for Aliens Fireteam Elite in 2020. The main hive kit had been established when I joined the project, allowing me to focus on world building with the slimy hive parts like an intricate Lego kit.

The hive walls/ceilings were a mix of splined meshes and static assets that fit together in a myriad of ways. Decals bridged gaps and smoothed the transition onto bare scifi floor/wall/ceiling elements. I also placed and adjusted lighting/VFX to push the dark and slimy hive nastiness. Created in UE4.

Note that these images were taken a bit more than a year before the game was released. There are slight differences in the published game, which you can note watching playthroughs, or playing yourself ;)
